About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their expanding Construction team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced solicitor to work on complex transactions, lead client negotiations, and help shape the future of the team.
As part of a highly skilled and ambitious group, you’ll work with clients from a range of industries, including commercial, education, local authorities, housing, and development. You’ll also play a key role in business development and have the opportunity to grow and lead a contentious practice—though a purely non-contentious specialist would also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Provide expert non-contentious construction advice, including drafting and negotiating standard form contracts (JCT, NEC), consultants’ appointments, and warranties.
✔ Work closely with the Head of Construction to drive strategy and team growth.
✔ Support clients in real estate, corporate, and finance transactions.
✔ Lead on contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, and complex development agreements.
✔ Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
What We’re Looking For
📌 5-10 years PQE in Construction Law.
📌 Strong experience in non-contentious construction is essential.
📌 Contentious construction experience would be a bonus, but not required.
📌 Ability to manage multiple projects and lead negotiations.
📌 A commercial mindset and willingness to attend networking events.
