Transactional Real Estate Associate (3+ PQE) — Leeds / Hybrid / Remote

Overview
A highly ranked transactional Real Estate practice is expanding and is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join a dedicated client team supporting a major institutional landlord. This role offers a rare blend of high-quality work, client immersion and a genuinely balanced working structure, including hybrid remote working and a reduced annual hours target.
You will work closely with partners and an established client delivery group, taking ownership of landlord & tenant and portfolio transactions within a structured service model.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating commercial leases (new, renewals and reversionary).
- Advising on landlord & tenant matters including licences to assign/underlet/alter, deeds of variation and rent deposit deeds.
- Supporting portfolio lettings, asset management and property management workflows.
- Reviewing title and CPSE packs and coordinating lettings due diligence.
- Managing completion and post-completion processes.
- Supervising and mentoring juniors and paralegals on lettings and management matters.
- Working directly with the client to deliver efficient, consistent advice across a large property portfolio.
Candidate profile
- UK-qualified solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate.
- Confident running leasing and asset management matters in a landlord-focused environment.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Organised, pragmatic and solutions-led.
- Comfortable working in a structured delivery model and collaborating across teams.
