Overview

A top-ranked Commercial Real Estate team in Leeds is seeking a junior Associate (1+ PQE) to join its busy practice. The team advises major investors, developers and occupier clients on high-quality commercial property mandates, offering excellent exposure across investment, development and landlord & tenant work.

This role is ideal for a lawyer looking to build a broad and technically strong CRE profile with early responsibility and first-rate training.

Responsibilities

• Advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, including portfolios.
• Supporting development and regeneration matters, including agreements for lease and related documentation.
• Drafting and negotiating commercial leases and supporting landlord & tenant matters.
• Handling asset management and property management issues, including tenant queries and ancillary documents.
• Advising on property elements of corporate transactions and wider client projects.
• Managing matters efficiently, with support from seniors where required.
• Working directly with clients and contributing to team development initiatives.

Candidate profile

• UK-qualified solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate.
• Good technical grounding and enthusiasm to broaden deal exposure.
• Strong drafting ability and attention to detail.
• Proactive, reliable and keen to take responsibility.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys a fast-moving transactional environment.
