A leading commercial real estate practice in Manchester is hiring a Managing Associate (5+ PQE) to support continued growth following a strong year. This is a senior role offering significant responsibility, visibility and the opportunity to develop a strong market profile within a high-performing team.

You will manage a varied caseload of high-value commercial property matters and will play an active role in supervising junior lawyers, shaping client relationships and supporting business development.

Responsibilities

• Leading and running investment and development transactions, including complex multi-party deals.
• Advising on landlord & tenant matters for major schemes and clients.
• Handling asset management, portfolio and large lease roll-out work.
• Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients under pressure.
• Supervising and mentoring junior associates, trainees and paralegals.
• Supporting partners on client development, pitches and profile-building.
• Contributing to the broader growth of the team in Manchester.

Candidate profile

• UK-qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate.
• Strong transactional background with demonstrable deal leadership.
• Confident supervising juniors and managing client relationships.
• Commercially astute, proactive and capable of working at pace.
• Interest in business development and building a long-term career in Manchester.
