Overview

A high-performing corporate team in Manchester is looking to hire a Corporate Associate (3–6 PQE) as part of continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants stronger responsibility on live deals, direct client exposure and a clear pathway towards Managing Associate level.

The team offers broad corporate exposure across private M&A, private equity and public markets/ECM (depending on experience and interest) in a fast-paced, collegiate environment.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents.
• Managing and co-ordinating transactions from instruction through to completion (including multi-jurisdictional elements).
• Leading key workstreams and supporting partners on mandates.
• Maintaining client contact post-completion to support ongoing legal needs.
• Supporting business development activity and client targeting initiatives.
• Supervising and supporting junior team members where appropriate.

Candidate profile

• UK-qualified solicitor with 3–6 years’ PQE (or close equivalent) in corporate law.
• Experience and/or genuine interest in private M&A, private equity and/or public markets/ECM.
• Strong drafting skills and confidence running workstreams.
• Commercial, solutions-oriented and detail-focused.
• Collaborative and proactive, with an appetite to take on responsibility.
