Join a leading firm's specialist Costs Team supporting the Disputes Group across multiple practice areas including Commercial Disputes, Finance Disputes, Real Estate Disputes, Construction Disputes, Insolvency Disputes and Intellectual Property Disputes. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert advice on costs-related matters for FTSE100 clients and their equivalents across multiple jurisdictions. Based in either Leeds or Manchester, you will work on complex, high-value costs matters and contribute to innovative solutions within the legal industry.

Day to day

What you'll
be doing.

Prepare and support with all costs-related documents including drafting bills, points of dispute, points of reply, and supporting at hearings. Assist with detailed assessment across all stages and support senior colleagues in settlements by contributing to strategic advice on settlement parameters. Manage all stages of costs management, including drafting precedent H budgets, precedent R discussion reports, and precedent T forms. Prepare N260 schedules of costs for summary assessments and assist with schedules for requests for payments on account and arbitrations. Liaise with fee-earners to manage expectations, ensure compliance with relevant procedural rules and regulations, and manage multiple deadlines whilst delivering high-quality, accurate work.

A skilled, forward-thinking junior Costs Lawyer with solid understanding of legal cost assessment and management processes. You will have experience assisting with all stages of detailed assessment, costs management, and preparation of costs documentation. You must be capable of managing multiple deadlines and delivering high-quality, accurate work within agreed timeframes, and able to support the delivery of strategic advice and assist with complex legal tasks under supervision.
