A leading construction law practice is seeking an ambitious non-contentious construction solicitor to join its dynamic 38-strong team. You will advise on and negotiate construction contracts, develop commercial awareness, and contribute to business development and networking. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest construction developments in the social housing sector and to develop expertise in building and fire safety claims.

What you'll
be doing.

Manage complex construction transactions independently, including scoping, billing and document management. Draft and review construction contracts, project agreements and security documents. Advise on construction procurement, contract forms, tendering procedures and the inter-relationship with planning, property, insurance, tax and banking. Develop comprehensive understanding of JCT, NEC 3 and other UK construction industry standard forms. Contribute to internal and client training through seminars, webinars and article writing. Mentor junior team members and manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and meeting deadlines.

looking for.

Minimum 4 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law in private practice. 2:1 degree or equivalent (postgraduate construction law qualification or construction industry/social housing experience advantageous). Self-starter with proactive approach and can-do attitude. Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with meticulous attention to detail. Thorough knowledge of UK construction procurement methods and detailed working knowledge of JCT suite of contracts (NEC and FIDIC experience advantageous). Ability to manage complex matters, distil key issues and explain them clearly to clients. Strong client relationship management skills with enthusiasm for business development and networking.
