Overview

We’re partnering with a fast-growing tech/services business to hire a Senior Legal Counsel with strong commercial contracts experience. You’ll own high-value negotiations, advise senior stakeholders, and help evolve legal operations and templates.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts (SaaS, licensing, procurement, partnerships, NDAs, DPAs).
• Advise leadership and cross-functional teams (commercial, product, compliance, finance).
• Develop playbooks and improve template suite, contracting workflows, and risk policies.
• Manage and triage external counsel; oversee legal budget and matter tracking.
• Mentor junior legal team members; contribute to governance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• UK-qualified solicitor (or equivalent), 5–8 years’ PQE in commercial / technology contracts.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; pragmatic, business-first judgment.
• Familiarity with data protection, IP, liability caps, and limitation language.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously.
