The role,

The Paris Commercial Disputes team of a leading international law firm advises a broad range of French and international clients on complex, high-value commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters. The team is trusted by corporates, financial institutions, investors and multinational groups across a variety of sectors.

The practice is led by experienced Partners and is recognised for its strength in handling cross-border disputes, strategic litigation, and contentious commercial matters requiring coordinated multi-jurisdictional expertise. Following a successful year, the Paris team is looking to recruit a senior lawyer who will manage their own caseload while working closely with Partners on high-value, complex commercial disputes, supporting the continued expansion of the practice.

The Commercial Disputes Group advises on a wide range of contractual and non-contractual disputes, including complex commercial litigation, post-M&A claims, shareholder disputes, and cross-border matters. The role offers strong opportunities for progression and increased autonomy.

Day to day

What you'll
be doing.

Manage your own caseload and work closely with Partners on high-value, complex commercial disputes

Lead on substantive matters including contractual disputes, post-M&A litigation, shareholder conflicts, unfair competition and cross-border commercial claims

Manage client relationships and play a key role in delivering innovative, commercially focused dispute resolution strategies
04
Support business development initiatives and help grow the team's profile in the Paris market

Supervise and mentor junior lawyers, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Coordinate closely with colleagues in Paris and across the wider international network on multi-jurisdictional matters
07
Contribute to the continued expansion of the practice
Candidate profile

Who we're
looking for.

French-qualified lawyer (avocat) registered with the Paris Bar with 6 years' PQE
ii
Solid experience in commercial disputes gained within a leading law firm
iii
Strong command of French civil and commercial court procedures
iv
Ability to handle complex matters with autonomy, rigour and sound judgement
v
Full professional fluency in English; comfortable operating in an international environment

Confident stakeholder manager with experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
vii
Proactive, structured and solution-oriented approach to legal issues
viii
Efficient diary and task management across a range of matters
ix
Enthusiastic about continuous development of legal skill set
x
Inquisitive — wants to understand clients, their drivers and what matters to them, to deliver advice with quality, imagination and impact
